Also within a short walking distance is historic Wahconah Park, constructed in 1919, current home of the Pittsfield Colonials, and has seats for 4,500 spectators. Berkshire Hills Country Club is about a mile northeast and its eighteen holes and incredible views have been enjoyed by members since 1925.

The immediate area on Tyler Street is bustling with a mix of shops, bakeries, restaurants, and schools. Just steps away is Morningside Bakery, always drawing customers into the area with their specialty cakes, pastries, and coffee. Also within a moment’s walk is Morningside Community School, with an enrollment of just over 400 students. There are several convenience stores and fast food restaurants in the area as well, and Berkshire Crossing, a major retail shopping center is just a few miles west, offering supermarkets, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Applebee’s, Staples, and many more.
