Nicole Gencarelli is a college student double majoring in studio art and art history. Her college career has been defined by a passion for creating art and studying the concepts and ideas behind art and artists. She started with a studio focus in painting but moved onto printmaking and fiber arts.
Most of her work involves using the human figure though she has been exploring and experimenting with concepts concerning cognitive science and cosmology. Her research in art history is mostly in Classical and Byzantine but she is interested in contemporary, Islamic, Japanese and Buddhist art. She is interested in expanding her artistic influences and resources and runs two blogs covering printmaking, art history, creative culture and art concepts. She hopes to be able to always create her own art - full time or part time - and participate in as many art fairs and professional exhibitions possible and go to graduate school for further career goals.
